My Local SUEZ Projects
The Past & Future of Bethel's Water
We take great pride in our ability to provide you with drinking water that meets or surpasses all state and federal standards. We regularly test samples before, during and after water is treated. All test results are on file with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the state agency that monitors and regulates drinking water.
We supply 7,000 Bethel, Concord and Chadds Ford customers with water purchased from Chester Water Authority (CWA) and from our Stanton Water Treatment Plant in Delaware. The Stanton plant gets water from the White and Red Clay Creeks and can produce 30 million gallons of water per day while CWA’s Octoraro plant gets water from the Octoraro Reservoir and the Susquehanna River and can produce about 60 million gallons of water per day.
Each year, about 446 million gallons of water are delivered to Bethel customers through 40 miles of mains and approximately 519 valves.
